چکیده
Objective The aim of this study was to compare the contrast gray white matter between forward-projected model-based iterative reconstruction solution (FIRST) and hybrid (IR) by measuring computed tomography value brain parenchyma. Methods Computed values in 15 areas 21 patients (7 males, 14 females; average age, 49.5 ± 10.7 years) were measured compared FIRST IR with filtered back projection (FBP) using 2 different kernels FC21 FC26. Results ratio obtained (1.25 0.08) significantly higher than that FBP both kernel (1.13 0.03) FC26 (1.22 0.06). Conclusions increases matter, decreases noise IR.

CT of the chest with model-based, fully iterative reconstruction: comparison with adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction
BACKGROUND The recently developed model-based iterative reconstruction (MBIR) enables significant reduction of image noise and artifacts, compared with adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction (ASIR) and filtered back projection (FBP). The purpose of this study was to evaluate lesion detectability of low-dose chest computed tomography (CT) with MBIR in comparison with ASIR and FBP. METHO...
متن کاملFast System Matrix Calculation in CT Iterative Reconstruction
Introduction: Iterative reconstruction techniques provide better image quality and have the potential for reconstructions with lower imaging dose than classical methods in computed tomography (CT). However, the computational speed is major concern for these iterative techniques. The system matrix calculation during the forward- and back projection is one of the most time- cons...

Realizing this, GE Healthcare has developed a powerful class of new reconstruction techniques designed to explicitly include the modeling of data statistics into the reconstruction. ASiR,* introduced in 2008, fi rst demonstrated the potential of advanced statistical algorithms. In 2011, Veo*§ builds upon the foundation laid by ASiR by now including accurate modeling of X-ray physics and system ...
متن کاملModel-based iterative reconstruction and adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction: dose-reduced CT for detecting pancreatic calcification
BACKGROUND Iterative reconstruction methods have attracted attention for reducing radiation doses in computed tomography (CT). PURPOSE To investigate the detectability of pancreatic calcification using dose-reduced CT reconstructed with model-based iterative construction (MBIR) and adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction (ASIR). MATERIAL AND METHODS This prospective study approved by ...
